Stupid people give SM a bad name

http://thinksocialmedia.co.nz/pricing In shock.

Therefore Cate and I are starting our own business.

WordPress blog- $free to do yourself, but we will charge you $2000 because our fingers are former supermodels and therefore it is a privilege to have these fingers even pointing in the direction of your business

twitter account- $free to do yourself, but we will charge you $1500 mainly because we know you don’t know a lot about social media, so we have gone to  http://whatthefuckismysocialmediastrategy.com/ and got some catchy lingo we will try and woo you with. As you will know by now, jargon makes money.

personalised twitter background – $free to do yourself, but for the low low price of $400 we will type your business name into google images, and pick the first picture that comes up. Then we will really exert ourselves and upload it to your twitter account and click tile image. Exhausting work.

1000 twitter followers – $free to get yourself, but for $800 we will use exciting words like “new car, weight loss, acai diet and hot porn” and many more to ensure that your twitter account is followed by hundreds of bots. Years of reliable research shows that bots are millionaires and hang off your every tweet.

This is an offer too good to vomit pass up, please contact Cate Owen (http://twitter.com/CateOwen) or myself (http://twitter.com/BexieLady), and if we can find time in between looking pretty and being awesome to talk to you, we might be able to help.

Hahaha, that’s awesome. Tell you what, we’ll throw in free black-hat SEO, which will boost your Google ranking. That is, until they realize you’re using black-hat and then remove you from Google all together. But we’ll be long gone by then. Yay!

Love this Bex, so true, It truly is a rort and so many people fall for it. The problem also lies in the fact that these companies actually believe the shit they are saying, LOL

Thanks for the entertaining post … I had trouble reading to the end cos I was laughing so much.

Had a look at their website .. the vid is kinda cool (well I was sold on it ..lol) but the reference to SquareSocialMedia.co.nz below it caught my eye … just a typo .. eh.

I guess in the high-speed, web 2.0, hype-fueled instant-meme world we live in, proof-reading is just not important any more …. cos we have Search ‘n Replace … right?
